迴文素數

迴文素數

數學家把一些由左至右，或由右至左讀皆一樣的數字稱為迴文數 (Palindromic Number) ，如 121、2332、13331等，而當中的素數便是迴文素數 (Palindromic Prime，簡稱 Palprime ) 了。

這是五位以內迴文素數的一些特性：

	所有獨位素數 (Single-digital Prime) 皆是迴文素數，即 2、3、5、7。

	兩位素數中只有 11 一個迴文素數，因其餘的迴文數如 22 等均是 11 的倍數。

	三位數以上，迴文素數的起始一定是 1、3、7、9其中一個，因素數的個位只可是上述四數字之一。

	三位迴文素數有 101、131、151、181、191、313、353、373、383、727、757、787、797、919 和 929，共十五個

	沒有四位迴文素數，因所有四位迴文數均是 11 的倍數。其實在所有偶數位的迴文數也都是 11 的倍數，即除 11 以外，也沒有其他偶數位的迴文素數。

	五位迴文素數有 93 個，最小的是 10301 ，而最大的是 98689。

附表列出首五十個的迴文素數。

此外依位數 n 內的迴文素數個數分佈如是：4, 1, 15, 0, 93, 0, 668, 0, 5172, ... (OEIS A016115 、A040025 、 A050251) 我們不難發現其中偶數位 (雙位除外) 的迴文素數個數為 0，而奇數位的迴文素數個數是幾何級數遞增，因此我們相信迴文素數的個數亦是無限，數學家賓斯 (W. D. Banks) 等在 2004年證明了

上式中 P(x) 為不少於 x 的迴文素數個數，而 N(x) 為不少於 x 的迴文數個數。

另美國數學家基思 (Mike Keith 1955 - ) 亦求出不大於 10¹¹ 以內的迴文素數的倒數和 (Sum of Reciprocals) 是趨向極值約 1.32398。

圓周率與迴文素數

迴文素數和圓周率 (Pi) 也有一定關係，怎麼會啊？原來數學家把圓周率的一定數位作開始制成迴文數，且發現有：
